Investigators say Jerry Giles, 52, was under the influence while operating his motorized wheelchair on Kentucky 76 in Adair County.  

Kentucky State Police say a man in a wheelchair was drunk when he was hit by a pickup truck and killed.

Investigators say Jerry Giles, 52, was operating his motorized wheelchair on Kentucky 76 in Adair County when he was hit.

 The driver of the pickup hasn't been charged.

Police continue to investigate.
