A woman in a motorized wheelchair suffered what were described as minor injuries Friday afternoon when she was struck by a vehicle in a North Topeka parking lot.
The accident occurred about 1 p.m. on private property in the parking lot behind the Mr. Goodcents Subs and Pasta restaurant, 2060 N.W. Topeka Blvd.
The woman, who was wearing a seat belt while she was in her wheelchair, was taken to a Topeka hospital by American Medical Response ambulance, authorities said
Witnesses told emergency responders the woman did several “doughnuts” in the parking lot after she was struck.
